Rock Hill, SC (October 27, 2018) – On Friday, October 26, a 16-year-old girl from Rock Hill lost her life in a fatal car accident. Four others were left seriously injured as a result.
The crash happened yesterday around 2 p.m. at Sturgis Farm Road. The girl who lost her life was identified as 16-year-old Chaella Woodson of Rock Hill. She was going to turn 17 next week.
The four other people who were injured in the accident were identified as students throughout the area, one of which received severe injuries and is expected to spend time in the hospital.
Woodson was a passenger in a vehicle being driven by a juvenile who went to school with her. The vehicle they were driving in was headed north when it suddenly crossed the center lane and collided with two other vehicles on the other side of the roadway. Woodson lost her life instantly.
At this time, the Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident. At this time, no criminal charges are being filed.
