Rock Hill, SC (October 31, 2018) – In Rock Hill, a truck driver was killed and two others were injured in a fatal accident that took place on a bridge. The accident happened on Monday, October 29 around 5:30 p.m. and police now have updates on what happened.
The accident took place at the intersection of Old Friendship Road, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Police said that the driver died at the scene of the accident. Two passengers had to be extracted from the truck by emergency responders. The passengers were both identified as men aged 20 and 22 from Lancaster but their names have not been released.
At the time of the accident, a 2003 pickup was involved in an accident and struck a guardrail, then a bridge. Police spent about three hours investigating where the accident took place by the bridge.
At this time, police are still investigating what caused the crash to occur.
