Rome, GA (October 22, 2018) – On October 16, police responded to the scene of a Rome bicycle accident that took place around 5 p.m. by the First Street Advance Auto Parts. At this time, police are still investigating how the accident took place.

Police said that the bicyclist had been struck by another vehicle, but they are unsure of the circumstances leading up to the accident. The bicyclist received injuries but, at this time, they are expected to make a recovery. EMS crews showed up at the scene of the accident to offer their aid.

The incident closed down one lane of traffic while police investigated. The driver involved has not yet been identified.
