Rome, GA (October 24, 2018) – On US-411 in Rome, a two-motorcycle accident took place that temporarily shut down the road in two directions near the Alabama State line, according to police.

Police responded to the area around 1 p.m. in front of the Chevron station on Gadsden Road. The two riders involved in the accident were both injured and taken to the hospital by Redmond EMS. Police say that both of them were conscious when officers arrived at the scene, but police are not aware of their conditions at this time.

The police at the scene said that one of the motorcycles struck the other as it was attempting to turn onto Angel Road. Both were headed toward Cave Spring at the time of the accident.
