Rosewood, NC – Two People Seriously Injured in Head-on Collision

Rosewood, NC (October 18, 2018) – On Friday night, October 12, two people were seriously injured in a head-on collision.

Rosewood, NC (October 18, 2018) – On Friday night, October 12, two people were seriously injured in a head-on collision near Rosewood. The accident happened on U.S. 70 near the intersection with Edgar Street.

The N.C. Highway Patrol says that 70-year-old Marie Andrews was driving her Mazda westbound when she suddenly collided head-on with a Nissan Cube around 8:20 p.m.

Several 911 calls came in that stated that a vehicle was driving in the wrong direction and a short time later, the collision occurred. The driver of the Nissan, 57-year-old Jose Vazquez, was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries and Andrews was flown there as well.

Police continue their investigation at this time.
