Rowan County, NC (December 20, 2018) – This week, a fatal bus accident took place in China Grove that led to the fatality of a school bus driver, who has now been identified by police.
Police confirmed that 80-year-old Harold Bodnar lost his life in this horrific accident. He was the driver of a bus that was carrying many children from the China Grove Middle School. The bus was involved in an accident and ran off the side of the road.
Police say that the accident took place at the intersection of North Main Street and Highway 152. Luckily, none of the students on the bus at the time were injured.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the accident at this time.
