Salisbury, NC (November 25, 2018) – A person was struck and killed while changing a tire on Interstate 85 in Salisbury.  The incident took place in the southbound lanes on Saturday, November 24th.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the call, which involved three vehicles in total.  Police say that a black and a gray Suburban were both off the roadway when the crash occurred.  A person was changing a tire on one of the vehicles when a red Jeep Cherokee ran off the road and slammed into the black Suburban.

Police say that alcohol played a role in the crash. There is no word at this time on whether charges will be filed.
