Salisbury, NC (November 24, 2018) – In Salisbury, one person was killed following a serious multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 85 in the southbound lanes. The car crash involved three vehicles and caused multiple injuries.
At the time, a vehicle had been pulled off on the side of the road with a flat tire when a Jeep suddenly ran off the road and struck the person changing their tire. The person who had been standing outside the vehicle died in the accident.
Five others were transported to various hospitals in a variety of different conditions. Police have not released the names of those involved as of yet.
Police believe that alcohol might have been a factor in the accident, as the driver of the Jeep might have been drinking at the time.
Officials have not yet released information on whether or not charges have been made. All lanes have since been reopened.
