Savannah, GA (October 04, 2018) – A three-car collision occurred at 7:50 AM on Tuesday. The accident, which took place on the 500 block of East Victory Drive, resulted in only one injury to Albert Pleasant Jr, 49.
Pleasant was traveling west on E. Victory drive when he lost control of his Chevrolet Impala and veered off the roadway striking a tree. The force of the impact caused Pleasant to ricochet into the Price Street intersection where it collided with a Ford Focus that was stopped at a red light, as well as a Mazda van, before finally coming to rest atop a lone stump on the northeast corner of the intersection.
Pleasant was critically injured and transported to nearby Memorial Medical Center. The investigation is still ongoing.
Georgia Multi-Vehicle Accidents
Fault can be extremely tricky to determine in multi-vehicle accidents. These types of accidents tend to go above and beyond because there are so many secondary factors involved. Things like speed, fatigue, distractedness, and intoxication all play major contributing roles and the police have the unenviable task of sorting out who did what when and, ultimately, who is to blame.
In addition to this, you may find yourself in a situation where no one is admitting fault and pointing the finger at everyone else involved. Sometimes a lawsuit may be the only way to truly determine who is at fault and make sure that the party or parties who are owed compensation receive it.
