Savannah, GA (December 14, 2018) – The Investigation Unit is still investigating a head-on collision that led to serious injuries.

Savannah, GA (December 14, 2018) – The Investigation Unit is still investigating a head-on collision that led to serious injuries to multiple people on Benton Boulevard.

Around midnight this morning, a Ford Taurus being driven by 36-year-old Kerri Beasley was traveling south on the road in the area of Godley Way. At the same time, 18-year-old Donovan Matthews was driving a Kita and traveling north on the same road.

Suddenly, police reported that the Taurus went over the center line and struck the Kia in the northbound lanes.

Both drivers, as well as 18-year-old Lauryn Matthews in the Kia’s vehicle, were transported to the hospital with a variety of serious injuries. Police are still investigating the accident to determine how it occurred.
