Savannah, GA (November 22, 2018) – Police say that the Truman Parkway was closed down for quite some time due to an overturned garbage truck that led to injuries yesterday, November 21.

The garbage truck was involved in an accident and went off the road, flipping over. At this time, police are still looking at the exact cause of the accident, which happened around 1:00 in the afternoon.

The Savannah Professional Firefighter Association arrived at the scene and claimed that the truck heavily pinned the driver inside, who was the only person injured in the accident. They had to use hydraulic tools and stabilization tools to free the driver.

At this time, police continue to investigate the accident.
