Savannah, GA (December 26, 2018) – In Savannah, a pedestrian accident took place that led to a fatality. The accident took place on Abercorn Street and involved a driver.
Police investigated and found that a Chevy Cruze was being driven by Kelli Bowen of Midway, who had been traveling north in the far left lane of Abercorn Street when a male stepped off the median and directly into the path of the vehicle. The driver braked and tried to swerve out of the way, but instead struck the male.
The pedestrian was immediately transported to the Memorial Medical Center. However, that same night, he tragically passed away due to his injuries. Bowen did not receive injuries in the accident.
The male pedestrian has not yet been identified at this time. Police continue their investigation of the accident.
