Savannah, GA (December 22, 2018) – Yesterday, Police in Savannah investigated a fatal accident that took place between two vehicles in the southbound lanes of Seawright Drive.
At the time, police confirmed that 70-year-old John Douglas had been traveling south in his Nissan when he had what is believed to be a medical episode. This caused him to disregard the traffic signal at Eisenhower Drive.
Douglas struck a Toyota that was traveling west on the roadway at the time, driven by 42-year-old William Brown III.
Police say that Douglas was the only one who was injured in the accident and he was transported to the hospital where he was tragically pronounced deceased. Police believe that he might have suffered a medical episode when the accident took place.
