Savannah, GA (December 3, 2018) – Police say that a Ft. Stewart Soldier was seriously injured in a pedestrian crash when he was struck by two different vehicles yesterday, December 2.
The accident happened around 1:30 a.m. in the morning yesterday when 24-year-old Sloan Dunlop was crossing the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around the area of Orange Street. At the time, he was crossing with a few different people. Suddenly, an SUV ran by and struck him, which caused him to land in front of an oncoming ambulance where he was struck a second time.
The ambulance driver spoke with police and claimed that they were unable to stop in time. Dunlop was taken to the hospital with a variety of serious injuries. At this time, his condition is not known.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances of this accident.
