Scotland County, NC (December 18, 2018) – In Scotland County, a woman identified as 43-year-old Tammy Parker was involved in a serious car accident on Monday evening at Highway 79.

Parker lost control of her vehicle and was involved in an accident that caused her vehicle to go down an embankment, then overturning. A passenger inside the vehicle was airlifted to the hospital in serious condition but police do not have updates on his condition at this time.

Several drivers told police that they saw a vehicle swerving in and out of traffic between lanes of other individuals and ran a stop sign before the accident took place.

One arrest has been made in the accident and police continue their investigation at this time.
