Sebring, NC – One Man Killed, Woman Injured in Serious Accident

Sebring, NC (November 4, 2018) – Police reported that one man was killed and his wife was critically injured in.

Sebring, NC (November 4, 2018) – Police reported that one man was killed and his wife was critically injured in a serious accident in Sebring. The accident happened on Wednesday and the North Carolina Highway Patrol has since identified the couple.

Police say that the couple was identified as 62-year-old David Allen Drach and 59-year-old Nancy Drach of Lake Placid. David died at the scene from his injuries and Nancy was sent to the hospital in critical condition, where she remains today.

The couple had been traveling northbound on a motorcycle. At the same time, a flatbed truck carrying lumber was driving southbound being driven by 45-year-old Roger Isaacs. The truck headed uphill, which is when the lumber shifted out from underneath its straps and fell off the side of the truck. The motorcyclists were hit, which caused them to crash.

Nancy is still in the hospital with a variety of injuries, including several broken bones.

Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
