Selma, NC (November 17, 2018) – Around 2:30 a.m. this morning in Selma, one person obtained severe injuries following a collision that happened on Pollock Street. Police say that the vehicle was involved in an accident after striking a power pole and a building.
When emergency responders arrived at the scene of the accident, they found a vehicle that was completely smashed to pieces with the front end ripped off. Crews had to rescue the driver, who was trapped inside the vehicle.
Luckily, the driver survived the accident but was taken to the hospital with a series of serious injuries. They are expected to recover.
The crash is still being investigated. Officers said that speed had a lot to do with it. Police are still investigating the accident at this time.
