Spalding County, GA (December 10, 2018) – One person lost their life in a three-vehicle accident that took place in Spalding County on Friday afternoon. One other person was also injured in the accident.
On GA-3, an Acura had been traveling north and suddenly crossed the median, where it traveled into the southbound lanes. A Chevy Blazer struck the passenger side of an Acura. A Volvo tractor with a trailer struck then crashed into the Blazer.
The Blazer overturned several times, according to police. The driver of the Acura was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident while the driver of the Blazer was quickly transported to the Atlanta Medical Center.
Southbound lanes were blocked for quite some time while police investigated the circumstances of the accident. It remains under investigation at this time.
