Spalding County, GA (December 7, 2018) – This evening, December 7, a two-vehicle accident took place that led to serious injuries in a male driver who had to be extricated.

Multiple units arrived at the scene to give aid, including a regional EMS, deputies, and fire personnel. The accident took place on Highway 1941 close to the South Side Baptist Church and involved two different motor vehicles.

One individual was trapped inside one of the vehicles, who was identified as a male driver. He was extricated, which took approximately 30 minutes for responders.

A helicopter air ambulance was called to the scene but inclement weather was present in the area, so another ambulance came by ground.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident at this time.
