Spartanburg, SC (November 6, 2018) – In Spartanburg this morning, November 6, the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office came to the scene of a fatal accident. The South Carolina Highway Patrol investigated the accident.

One person lost their life at the intersection of Warren H. Abernathy Boulevard and Nazareth Church Road. The woman has since been identified as 31-year-old Demecca Denise Austin of Piedmont. She was pronounced dead on the scene at 3:03 a.m. this morning.

Police are still investigating the accident to discover how it occurred. The coroner’s office and highway patrol continue to investigate at this time.
