Spartanburg, SC (October 31, 2018) – One person was left in critical condition following a pedestrian accident in Spartanburg. The accident happened around 7:20 a.m. at the Jesse Boyd Elementary School.
Police say that the driver who struck the individual did not stay at the scene. The pedestrian was identified as Emma Taylor, who is a crossing guard at the elementary school. Taylor was quickly taken to the hospital with a variety of injuries and has been listed in critical condition.
No children were involved in the accident but a few people witnessed it, so guidance counselors are speaking with those individuals. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is working to investigate the accident and hopefully identify the individual who struck her and kept driving.

Have you been involved in a serious or life-changing pedestrian accident due to the negligence of another party? Hit-and-run accidents tend to be pretty cut-and-dry in the way that a responsible party will be held liable. However, one of the major concerns with these accidents is that the driver sometimes does their best to not be identified.
If you have been injured in one of these accidents, collecting evidence and documenting everything is one of the best ways to move forward at this time. With the help of an attorney, you can piece together parts of your case and start moving in the right direction so that you can receive the compensation you deserve.
