Summerville, SC (November 29, 2018) – In Summerville, one person lost their life in a fatal crash and has now been identified by police as 23-year-old Katharine Dube. The accident took place yesterday afternoon, November 28, on Jedburg Road in Berkeley County.
Katharine’s two children were in her vehicle with her at the time and were also transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Police say that Katharine was identified as a firefighter with the Cross Rural Fire Department.
The accident took place around 1:55 p.m. near Wild Game Road, according to police. Three vehicles were involved in the accident, two of which were passenger vehicles and one of which was a cement truck. Dube and the cement truck collided head-on and she lost her life at the scene of the accident.
Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
