Thomas County, GA (January 2, 2018) – An investigation into a fatal New Year’s crash continues to take place at.

Thomas County, GA (January 2, 2018) – An investigation into a fatal New Year’s crash continues to take place at this time where the driver of one of the involved vehicles lost their life.

The Georgia State Patrol said the accident took place in the last hour before the New Year around 11 p.m. Monday night. Authorities responded at the intersection of the Georgia-Florida Parkway and the Thomasville Bypass, where they found that two vehicles had collided with one another.

A couple had been in a truck and sustained minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Police believe that the driver of the vehicle ran the red light, which might have caused the vehicle to go into the lane of the truck.

At this time, police continue their investigation into the accident.
