Thomas County, GA (December 3, 2018) – In Thomas County, two people were injured in a head-on collision this morning, December 3. According to police, it happened around 9 a.m.
The accident took place on Highway 84 near Cairo. The Georgia State Patrol was called to the scene of the accident when a driver lost control of their vehicle, crossed the median, and struck a pickup truck in a head-on collision.
The County Sheriff’s Office, EMS, and other emergency responders were called to the scene of the accident. Both drivers of the vehicles suffered serious injuries and were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The road was temporarily blocked for quite some time. Police continue to investigate at this time.
