Tifton, GA (August 10, 2018) – An accident involving two vehicles on Highway 82 left five injured, including a 3-year-old child.
The accident occurred late Tuesday at 5:54 p.m. According to Trooper M. Webb, 24-year-old Tabbitha Marfilius from Sumner was traveling west on Highway 82 when a Red Hyundai, driven by 53-year-old Paul Mosley of Ocilla, pulled out in front of her vehicle. The two vehicles collided.
Marfilius was transported to Tift Regional Medical Center. Her passenger, 24-year-old Micajah Barfield, and Marfilius’ 3-year-old daughter, who was secured in the back seat of the car, were both airlifted to Macon with critical injuries. Mosley was trapped in his vehicle and had to be removed via extraction. Mosley and his passenger, Tanzana Mosley, were both transported to TRMC.
Mosley, the driver of the Hyundai, has been charged with failure to yield. We wish for a quick recovery for everyone impacted by this tragic event, and our hearts go out to the families and friends of those involved.
