Travelers Rest, SC (December 28, 2018) – Police say that, following a serious car crash today, a baby was delivered via c-section and lost its life. The accident happened this morning around 8 a.m. on Highway 25 in the area of Highway 11.
The woman and two others were injured in the crash this morning, which took place during periods of heavy rain in Greenville County. At the time, a 2004 SUV had been traveling north and spun across the road into southbound lanes. It was struck by a 2012 Nissan traveling south.
A 37-year-old female driver and male passenger in the SUV were injured and taken to the hospital. The woman’s baby was delivered at the Greenville Memorial Hospital, where it was pronounced deceased around 9:30 a.m.
The 34-year-old driver of the Nissan was also injured and taken to the hospital for treatment of various injuries.
At this time, police continue their investigation into the matter.
