US Highway 64, NC (November 16, 2018) – One person lost their life in a fatal pedestrian accident that took place on US Highway 64 last evening, November 15.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol arrived at the scene around 7 p.m. to find that two cars had been traveling east on the highway in the area of Cunningham Brick Yard Road. The first vehicle suddenly struck a pedestrian and then the following vehicle also struck them.
The victim’s name has not been identified but died upon impact. There were no injuries to other drivers.
Police believe that weather conditions and speed might have contributed to the accident. At this time, they are still investigating the incident.
