Wake County, NC (December 26, 2018) – An interstate accident that occurred on Interstate 40 near Exit 289 closed two eastbound lanes and three lanes on the westbound side of the highway.
The accident happened around 10 p.m. and was not cleared until midnight. Multiple vehicles were involved in the accident and multiple emergency services were called to the scene to help with those who were injured.
Police said that parties might be facing charges at this time. They continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
