Wilmington, NC (December 5, 2018) – A two-vehicle crash allegedly took place in an area of South College Road this morning, December 5, and sent one person to the hospital.
The wreck took place around 10:20 a.m. this morning at the intersection of South College Road and Shipyard Boulevard. At the scene, a Toyota passenger car had been attempting to turn onto Shipyard Boulevard and was making a left. At that time, it collided with a Mercedes passenger vehicle.
One person was transported to the New Hanover Regional Medical Center with a variety of injuries. Police say that they were serious. The person has not yet been identified.
For several hours, only one lane was open on the roadway and police were diverting individuals to eastbound Shipyard Boulevard.
