Winston, GA (October 30, 2018) – Police say that a man from Georgia was injured in a highway accident that happened two miles west of Winston. The accident happened last night, October 29.

Police say that 24-year-old Walter Calhoun received injuries in the accident on Interstate 35. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment.

Police said the accident happened when Calhoun was traveling southbound at mile marker 61 and his vehicle crossed over both lanes of traffic. The vehicle went down an embankment, overturning at the bottom. There were extensive damages to the vehicle.

Police have continued their investigation into the matter.
