Winston-Salem, NC (November 10, 2018) – The Winston Salem Police Department investigated a serious pedestrian crash on Friday night, November.

Winston-Salem, NC (November 10, 2018) – The Winston Salem Police Department investigated a serious pedestrian crash on Friday night, November 9, that caused a pedestrian to be struck by a vehicle and killed.

The accident took place in the same area as the Hanes Mall. Though the pedestrian hasn’t been identified publicly, they were identified as a 60-year-old man. At the time, he had been crossing the street when he was struck.

Emergency responders immediately took the man to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. There were passengers inside the vehicle involved but nobody received injuries.

The crash is under investigation and police have not yet pressed any charges against the other party.
