Winston-Salem, NC (November 4, 2018) – One person was transported to the hospital on Saturday morning, November 3 following a motorcycle accident on Highway 150 in Midway.

The accident took place yesterday around 11:20 a.m. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol said that a woman was driving her 2018 Ford Fusion and leaving a Sheetz convenience store while turning onto Highway 150.

The woman changed into the left lane, putting her directly in the path of an oncoming 2012 motorcycle. The motorcyclist veered toward the median of the road to avoid a collision, which caused him to lose control and roll his vehicle. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance and is expected to recover.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the accident. She was charged with failure to yield.

Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
