Greenville, SC (November 15, 2018) – Police have confirmed that one person lost their life in an Interstate 85 collision that took place in Greenville. The accident took place on Wednesday evening, November 14.
The accident took place around 8:55 p.m. last night. It happened in the southbound lanes of the interstate. The collision involved two vehicles, one of which was a tractor-trailer. The drivers were both driving south at the time. The motor vehicle struck the tractor-trailer from behind.
The driver of the Volvo has since been identified as 21-year-old Jackson Eugene Cowdrey from Greer. He was entrapped in the vehicle at the time. When police got him out, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
