Augusta, GA (November 19, 2018) – In Augusta, three vehicles were involved in an accident with a motorcycle accident that took place on the Bobby Jones Expressway this afternoon, November 19.
The accident took place on Interstate 520 in the eastbound lanes between mile markers 11/12. The accident involved three vehicles and a motorcycle. The scene of the accident showed multiple vehicles in the guardrail on the Interstate.
Police say the accident happened when the driver of a Dodge SUV tried turning onto the median, which caused the accident to take place. The driver of the motorcycle was immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Luckily, they are expected to recover.
Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
