Rome, GA (December 28, 2018) – Police responded to a two-vehicle accident that involved a child, who was seriously injured. The accident happened last evening, December 27.
The accident happened when a minivan had been traveling west on Shorter Avenue last evening when it was struck by an eastbound truck. The truck had been trying to turn into Holmes Avenue.
Rome Police stated that there had been multiple children in the minivan at the time. One young girl received a serious laceration to the face and was treated by EMS. She is expected to be okay.
Police continue their investigation into the accident.
