Garden City, GA (October 3, 2018) – A suspect was identified in the fatal hit-and-run accident that took place in.

Fatal Hit-and-Run AccidentGarden City, GA (October 3, 2018) – A suspect was identified in the fatal hit-and-run accident that took place in Garden City. The tractor-trailer driver was identified as 71-year-old Jerry Corl.

Police said that Corl was taken into custody on the Georgia Ports Authority property. He is receiving charges of 1st-degree homicide, hit-and-run, and following too closely. The name of the victim has not been released and the next-of-kin is being notified.

The accident took place when the driver of the large commercial truck struck the moped driver, dragging him about 600 feet along Main Street. The semi-truck driver is still under investigation at this time.
