Cartersville, GA (December 2, 2018) – The Georgia State Patrol was called to the scene of a fatal two-vehicle accident on Saturday morning, December 1, around 5:55 a.m.
Police were dispatched to the area of Rolling Hills Drive in the southwest lanes. A witness said that a vehicle had been backing out of a private driveway onto the roadway when it suddenly struck a motorcycle operated by 34-year-old Russell Steven Carr.
A witness said that the driver stayed at the scene and he and a couple of other witnesses removed the vehicle off of Carr, which ran over him. He was, however, pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, no charges have been administered and police are still investigating the accident.
