Asheboro, NC (November 25, 2018) – Two people were hurt when a van and garbage truck collided in Asheboro on Thursday, November 22nd.

Several agencies, including the Randolph County EMS, Ulah Fire Department, and North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the crash which took place on Highway 220 around 8:30 am.

Officials report that a van carrying a man and woman struck a garbage truck but there is no word on exactly how the accident took place.  Both victims were initially hospitalized at Randolph Health but the woman was later transferred to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
