The accident took place on Interstate 20 going into Atlanta. Three out of five westbound lanes around the area of Flat Shoals Road were closed down due to the accident, which was deemed a “major wreck” by responders. Drivers were urged to stay away from the area for several hours while an investigation and clean-up took place.

Officials reopened all lanes around 6 p.m. Injuries were reported but, at this time, we do not know how many were hospitalized as a result. There were many vehicles involved in this accident.
