Effingham Co., GA (August 17, 2018) – A major wreck happened after three suspects fled the Effingham County Deputy and drove into oncoming traffic on Interstate 95. The accident took place Friday morning and all three suspects were injured.

The incident started when Effingham County Deputy stopped a Honda Civic because the deputy believed that the driver was wanted by police. The Honda fled the scene while the Deputy started checking their information and records indicated that two people in the car had arrest warrants. The chase started on Midland Road and the Honda sped through a 35 MPH zone and attempted to ram the deputy on multiple occasions.

Effingham County Sheriff’s Office managed to stop the chase on I-95 South near exit 106. The driver and passenger of the Honda were transported for medical care, but did not receive fatal injuries.
