Greenville, SC (November 9, 2018) – In Greenville, one man was charged in a hit-and-run accident that took the life of a man riding a moped. The accident took place around 2:58 a.m. on Sunday morning, November 4.
Troopers responded to the area of Old Piedmont Road near Two Notch Road to find that 53-year-old Eric Rosser had been driving on his moped when he was fatally struck by a man driving another vehicle. Eric Rosser tragically passed away at the scene of the accident.
The vehicle struck the moped driver and then immediately fled the scene. The driver of the vehicle has since been identified as Jalen Shaquille Davis, who has since been arrested in connection to the hit-and-run. He was formally charged with reckless homicide and felony leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
