Horry County, SC (November 11, 2018) – Police say that one person has lost their life after a hit-and-run accident.

Horry County, SC (November 11, 2018) – Police say that one person has lost their life after a hit-and-run accident that took place early this morning, November 11. The accident happened in Myrtle Beach, according to police who investigated the scene.

At the time of the accident, a bicyclist had been traveling south on the S.C. Highway 707 when they were struck behind by a vehicle. The accident happened early this morning around 2:30 a.m.

Police say that, immediately after the bicyclist was struck, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. At this time, the South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
