Spartanburg, SC (November 10, 2018) – In Spartanburg, a 73-year-old crossing guard has now passed away due to her injuries after she was struck by a vehicle. At the time, she had been directing traffic outside an elementary school.
Investigators say that they have not been able to locate the driver that struck 73-year-old Emma Taylor last week in the serious accident. Taylor had been working as a crossing guard for a decade and even received an award for it.
The only thing that authorities know at this time is that the vehicle that struck Taylor outside of the elementary school was a dark-colored sedan. They are still searching for more information at this time.
We would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Emma Taylor, who tragically lost her life in a serious hit-and-run pedestrian accident that could have been prevented. We are extremely saddened to hear about this accident.
