Valdosta, GA Child Struck While Getting On Bus

Valdosta, GA (August 16, 2018) – A 13-year-old is undergoing testing at the South Georgia Medical Center after an accident Wednesday morning. According to reports, the student was crossing the street with a group of students to get on the bus when a Nissan Murano struck the student in the roadway.

The incident took place around 7:15 a.m. along Cat Creek Road by Pine Grove Middle School. The driver of the bus stated that he was at a complete stop at the time of the incident while the driver of the Murano states the bus was in the process of stopping.

The girl was reported to be in stable condition at the scene and suffered no serious injuries. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the child and her family during this difficult time.
