Aiken County, SC – 58-Year-Old Dead Following Fatal Collision

Aiken County, SC (November 20, 2018) – Today, November 20, a 58-year-old man lost his life in a fatal collision.

Aiken County, SC (November 20, 2018) – Today, November 20, a 58-year-old man lost his life in a fatal collision that took place near Storm Branch Road.

Police arrived at the scene to find that two vehicles had collided with one another, a 2018 Optima and a Dodge RAM. The driver of the pickup truck died at the scene of the accident. The driver died from multiple body trauma.

The Kia had been headed south at the time while the pickup truck was headed east. The two collided in an intersection, causing the truck to veer off the road and strike a tree. The driver who lost his life died after making his way to work at the Savannah River Site. He did not yield the right-of-way, according to police.

The crash is still being investigated at this time.
