Catawba County, NC (December 4, 2018) – Yesterday, December 3, a driver stole a vehicle and started a high-speed chase.

Catawba County, NC (December 4, 2018) – Yesterday, December 3, a driver stole a vehicle and started a high-speed chase that went from Catawba to Burke County and ended with a crash.

The accident took place on NC Highway 10. A white Ford pickup truck had been stolen from a business in Conover and collided with a red Dodge pickup truck when it was going at top speeds. The accident took place near the Blackburn Elementary School.

The driver of the Ford was charged and taken to jail. The driver of the Dodge was injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital. Luckily, he is going to recover.

At this time, the vehicle theft and circumstances of the accident are still being investigated.
