Charlotte, NC (December 29, 2018) – A police officer was involved in a two-vehicle accident that took place in north.

Charlotte, NC (December 29, 2018) – A police officer was involved in a two-vehicle accident that took place in north Charlotte on Friday night. The accident led to injuries in multiple parties.

Police reported that the accident took place around 8:15 p.m. on the 3200 block of Beatties Ford Road close to Lynchester Place. The officer was driving a marked police vehicle when the accident occurred.

The officer and driver of the second vehicle were taken to an area hospital with a variety of injuries. However, they are both expected to recover.

No names have been released at this time. Police are not sure what led to the crash and have not stated whether or not charges will be filed. The investigation into the accident continues.
