Gwinnett County, GA (December 11, 2018) – Police say that the driver of a hit-and-run accident was later killed in a fatal accident off of Interstate 85 early this morning.
The driver of a black Mini Cooper struck a barrier wall head-on while leaving the southbound ramp. Gwinnett Police said that the Mini driver had just fled the scene of a hit-and-run accident on Hamilton Mill Road. Officers started following the Mini.
The driver of the vehicle had been speeding when they fled from police and crashed on the ramp. Luckily, nobody else was injured in the accident.
Police are still trying to identify the driver and will then release his name. The roadway was closed down for quite some time and reopened within hours. Police continue to investigate the accident.
