Jacksonville, NC (December 18, 2018) – In Jacksonville, police have identified one other person who was injured in a serious car accident as a teacher from Onslow County.

The accident reportedly happened on Rocky Run Road when a white Nissan was traveling south and a GMC ran a stop sign. The two vehicles collided around 7:17 p.m. An eyewitness to the accident said that a woman ran the stop sign going close to 30 mph.

After the accident when everybody had gotten out of their vehicles, a red truck came around the curve and struck three people at the scene of the accident. On Saturday, a 46-year-old named Tracey Legg died of her injuries. Legg and 26-year-old Kevin Grajeda had been helping a driver named Madeleine Hobbs.

Hobbs was identified as an 8th grade Social Studies teacher at Swansboro Middle School.

The driver of the truck who ran into them was identified as 78-year-old James Henry Royster. The Onslow County EMS said that this is already the third crash involving a vehicle striking a pedestrian in just one week.
