The accident, according to police, took place on US 17 around the bypass area. The southbound lanes around the area of 62nd Avenue North were closed completely for a temporary time around 5 p.m.

Police have not determined what caused the multi-vehicle collision to occur. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to give care to those involved, which is when they discovered that the one party was injured.

Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
